City Tour Lima
We visit the historical center of Lima, including the "Paseo de la Republica", "Plaza San Martín", the Main Square and the surrounding monuments: The Government Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace; the City Hall, Desamparados Train Station, and the Moorish-style houses & balconies along Lima's old streets.
In the Cathedral, the tour guide will show you the Sacristy, the Side Chapels, the impressive Choir Seating, and the tomb of Lima's founder, Francisco Pizarro.
The next stop is San Francisco Convent, with the best exhibition of Colonial Art in Latin America. The tour includes the Choir Hall, the Monk's Library and the Sacristy, featuring collections of Zurbaran & Rivera oil paintings. After visiting the main yard of the Cloister to see its fine XVI century Seville style & Moorish Arches, the tour will proceed to the underground cripts known as the "Inquisition Catacombs".
After that, we will visit the traditional neighborhood near the San Isidro Golf Club, El Olivar (San Isidro Olive Grove Park) and the modern LarcoMar Shopping Center and the entertaiment complex including the "Love Park", where we will finish with a spectacular sight of the Pacific Ocean sunset.

Visit to the Gold Museum
In this museum we appreciate a spectacular collection of Peruvian Ancient Gold and the "Arms of the World" collection. Ancient Peruvians were master metalworkers; the "cire perdue" or lots of wax process, known across the Orient and lost in the west until the Renaissance, was the most frecuent technique used by master ancient Peruvian goldsmiths & silversmiths.
On our tour of Peru's Gold Museum, visitors will appreciate a dazzling collection of gold artifacts from various pre-colombian civilizations, some more than 3,000 years old.
Metal pieces & jewerly of incalculable value in Gold, Silver & precious stones used by the Incas - the children of the Sun god and monarch of the vast Inca Empire - are shown in this collection.
Five hundred years ago, the gold of Perú atracted many European adventurers who conquered the incas and founded the vice-royalty of Perú under the Spanish Crown. Perú's Gold Museum also host a valuable collection of old & modern weapons that ranks among the best in the world. The halls in this section show the "Arms of the World" collection of armours, uniforms and various ancient war tools and weapons from various ages in the world. Some of them are dated as long ago as 1,300 b.C.
