Machu Picchu Tour Itinerary 2 days:
Day 01: Cusco - Aguas Calientes
Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and drive
you in a private transport through the lush Sacred Valley taking in the beautiful surrounding mountains and vegetation until reaching the Inca town of Ollantaytambo. Here we will board the VistaDome train to Aguas Calientes enjoying the scenery of the stunning landscapes. Once you arrive to Aguas Calientes you will be transferred to your hotel. Then you will have time on your own to possibly take a dip into the Hot Springs or hike two hours to the Mandor Waterfalls. Spend the night in Aguas Calientes.

Day 02: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
You will be picked up early in the morning from 
your hotel to take the bus (25 minutes) up to the fabulous Machu Picchu complex. Watch the dramatic sunrise over this energetic place. Then enjoy your professional-guided tour of the magical Machu Picchu citadel, where the Incas once roamed. Visit the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun-Dial (the most important piece, the preserved Inti Huatana), the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Warehouses, a large central square & the houses; all connected by narrow paths and steps that are surrounded by terraces cut into the mountainside. After a glorious tour with your guide you will have time at your own pace to further explore on your own. Return to Aguas Calientes and enjoy lunch before boarding your late afternoon train to Ollantaytambo. There, we will board our private bus back to Cusco, arriving in the evening.
